The Intermediate people's court of Langfang City held that the defendant Sun Guoxiang's act constituted a crime of accepting bribes, which was particularly huge and caused particularly heavy losses to the interests of the country and the people, and should be punished according to law. In view of Sun Guoxiang's truthful confession of his crime after his arrival in the case, his significant performance of meritorious service, his confession of guilt and repentance, and his active return of stolen money, all the stolen money from bribery has been recovered, and there are statutory and discretionary circumstances of a lighter punishment, which can be given according to law.
